VGP3 is really taking up all of my time. But in the coming months, there will be some announcements made for my VGPHD project and a few releases. I apologize for the slow going. I will keep all of you informed.

Sorry for the delay in content!!!
I am very busy with some VGP3 v1.0 updates along with a few other things for VGP3. I need to have these done before the game goes to v1.0.
Nice thing is that this means there 'WILL BE' a 2008 Carset for VGPHD when all is said and done. Porting between VGP3 and 2 is fairly quick. But again, don't expect anything too fast as I have to really work on my VGP3 obligations.
Again, I apologize for the lack of updates. |

| It is definitely happening on a lot of hardware configs. I am pretty positive the overlays have a lot to do with it along with the city skylines. If this becomes a problem, I may make a second configuration of the Interlagos track that does not have the overlays. Maybe that will help. We'll see in the near future. |

I love the Valencia track. The race was pretty good also. If time permits, it may be a thought. |

Just a quick update on progress.
1. New version of Montreal (v1.1) now available with fixed backstraight . 2. Testing is finished on Interlagos. Will be available on Friday. This is by far the biggest track change made so far. My most ambitious endeavor yet. Not everything worked right, but it is quite a difference between the original and this version. 3. Working on a quick Indianapolis update. Should be available by the end of the week.

@ JaguarGod
I installed the new Drivers 1.5 and all the tracks (always SD, as I encountered problems with HD in the past) and everything is running smoothly.
Great job again. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for posting the list!!!
Don't download the menu graphics as I was mistaken. Only one of the images will work. I explain below.
----------------
So, it's the exact opposite of what I thought! The 'gui' folder matches the Windows version! The Mac version uses four pictures split between the different setup windows (mainsfondo.raw through mainsfondo3.raw) in 1024X768 while the windows and MorphOS version use different images (example; risultatisfondo.raw and pistasfondo.raw) that are 512X384.
I will let you know when I finish these. I apologize for the mistake as I thought it was the other way around. I will also correct the site today to reflect this.

I use SD cars and LD tracks, looks and works great. I've checked also SD and HD tracks but they are too grainy for me :). LD tracks suit me well and ofcoz require less RAM and power :). In addition LD cars are in too low quality, they look horrible in interior mode. About menus you need to rename files manually. I preffer an old gui though. Maybe small listing of files will be useful for JaguarGod. http://rafb.net/p/w8MQxY48.html .

hi. i've downloaded the latest updates: drivers_hd, icone, menugraphics and one track: montreal. after installed all of the files, the game runs, but i dont see new fancy menugraphics, and i couldnt select any of the track nor even montreal - the program just returns to main menu every time i select a track. melbourne started once, no more.
i used the hd versions for all updates. running vgp2 at 800*600.
update: i guess i've found it: theres only 256 mb ram in my pegasos... only 12 mb left when im in vgp2's main menu at 1024*768... of course it cant load the tracks...

Yeah, the only base archive I do not have is the MorphOS version. The Windows version has a few differences in the 'gui' folder than the Mac/MorphOS version. So I have to work a bit on that folder for Windows. I thought I remembered the Mac and MorphOS version sharing the exact same base archive which works out perfect as my Windows based players have been declining. The Windows side already has quite a few sims.
Thanks for the information. |
