I remember near the end of 07 there was talk of a new EFIKA board, but I don't recallmuch more than that. the current EFIKA board runs MorphOS 2.2 well but heaveir linux distros (and even some of the lighter ones, not fluxbox light but XFCE light) are a ltitle sluggish. I am not sure if this has been brought up recently so I was corious as to if there was any news on an upcomming new board?
also since ARM netbooks and low power desktops and embeded platforms are really cheap and starting ot pack some serious preformance has there been any thought into maybe jumping to ARM and Genesi becomming an ARM partner?
by the way, its good to be back. :)

Well,
THIS and
THIS etc (and the "Cherrypal", etc, they all are essentially the same hardware) was supposed to be the new "Efika". But when the 5121e promised specs and THTF deal failed, and due to the general lack of a sustainable roadmap for the PPC platform, Genesi indeed went 100% ARM. They are now focused on the new Freescale ARM chip i.MX515. This will now be the new "Efika". Look at powerdeveloper.org for more details.
MorphOS is Amiga
done right!
