Hello, I have been off this site for several years and I wondered if Morph OS will run on a Mac and if so where could I find more information about this. I have read about Wineau running on Mac with new device.::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::; "This is for MAC users...forget UAE get "CROSSOVER MAC PROFESSIONAL" from Codeweavers product. I was able to run Winuae 1530 on my Intel IMAC it works great. The only thing that doesn't work is the use of gamepad...it does not reconize it...but I heard you have to download Directx 9. Anyways other things works fine...like CD rom and Flash cards:) Go to www.Codeweavers.com
I bought this piece of software at MICROCENTER....www.microcenter.com here in MASS USA It's a very kool piece of software that allow you to run some Windows software without having Windows installed on your Intel MAC:)" :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This is the post I read. So I wondered if Morph OS would need this product or is there another way ?
Thank you for your patience...by the way what are people running Morph OS on these days ?

To take a long story short in the near future you should be able to run morphos on ppc's macminis. Forget MacIntel. Uae emulates 68k and there are no plans afaik to integrate a ppc emulation. Hola

Hello metalmac and thank you , So the Efika Open Client is now the machine Pegasos is manufacturing that will run MophOS? Will this Efika system run graphics like say a powerful Amiga or Peg? I must be brain dead I hardly understood anything that website said especially their little movie, I'm really out of touch with the computer world and it shows. At first the Winaeu sounded good, but if MorphOs will run for my needs with the Efika machine I guess thats the way. I do remember that MorphOs was really a great graphics OS and if a wacom tablet and other devices can be hooked up thats better. The Efika just appeared a little sparse, maybe I don't understand it yet.
Thank all who replied to my question you all are very helpful and will see how this turns out.

@ritty: the Efika is a nice low cost low power solution to run morphos but don't expect too much from this little jewel. IMHO if you want to run MorphOS at full power you'd better save some bucks, be patient and buy an used powerPC Macmini. Just my 2 cents...

@ Ritty
Best is to wait a couple of weeks/months until MorphOS gets released for the Mac Mini (this is no rumour, but official). The Efika is a nice system, but rather for some special scenarios. Very low power, 100% silent (no fan), but also not dramatically fast (only 128 MB ram, the ide controller sucks and the cpu is just 400 MHz). It's nice to play with, but it is really low end. The Mac minis will give you a real nice speed experience and are rather cheap to obtain from ebay and the likes. |

The Pegasos being a machine itself doesn't manufacture other machines ;-) |
