@jcmarcos simple, because at the moment driver 3D is better in OSX ppc then MOS, and better in MOS then OS4.

@Divinity
The problem is you compare Quake3 on MorphOS against IOQuake3 on OSX. You can't really know what optimisations they brought to IOQuake3.
So, the test would be more meaningful if you tested the original Quake3 client on OSX. |

@Fab Hi Fab :)
right, but the idea is to see also the benchmark in many host Macintosh in OSX ppc (many of these could be supported by MorphOS in the future).
Where Can I find the original Quake3 client for OSX ?
I thinks also It's a very good result for MorphOS at the moment VS OS4.x
thanks regards |

It would be interesting if the original Quake3 client (http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=17355) could be tested on the same Mac mini MorphOS runs on, for a clear comparison.
But anyway, seeing that figure of 90fps with original Quake3 client vs 168fps for IOQuake3, it's clear that IOQuake3 was optimized (or stripped down?) in a way or another. |

I would wait for a new 3D drivers from BigFoot and then compare :)
