Software : BoingPairs for MorphOS released
icon  Posted By: pecanK. on 2010/3/30 16:46:27 (Reads: 590)

SoftwareAnother "movie made in Hollywood" is now attacking your screens. Created as my latest Hollywood3 project, BoingPairs is a simple bilingual (czech/english) game of pairs for MorphOS. The only thing that makes it a bit special is that it is devoted to the Amiga - in fact, this could be taken as my humble contribution to the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of our most beloved machine...

Other game features :

- controls are designed for both right-handed and left-handed people
- you can have your favourite mp3 as a game music bloody easily, just by renaming and copying one file
- with a small utility CardsetCreator you can create (yeah, it's bloody easy too) your own card set for BoingPairs in a while

PLEASE BEFORE LAUNCHING THE GAME READ THE FILE READ_ME_FIRST.HTML !!!

Download it right now :
http://aminet.net/game/2play/BoingPairs.lha

For more info please read manual called BoingPairs.html

Why is this reboot program so large? Even if it has a picture and sound, four megabytes are a lot!

Oh, I guess is a not optimised code.. =)
Since I'm not a programmer (well... not a smart one!) I think I used too much code. Forgive and think I wrote it with an eye on the guide and the other on the monitor.. :-)
You can also call it "practicing". I hope to do better and better. This program really rock!

Hey i'm gonna download and check Rebooter tommorrow but i think it's the problem of linking. If you eg. link 2mb of graphics and 1mb of sound to the executable then it is so large!

Jambalah,Rebooter is nice and cute:-),although a bit slow on my g3... And it's as i thought, you've linked the pics and tune (mp3 i guess?) so the executable is so big.if you want it to be smaller use eg. @BGPic 1, "pix.iff" {Link=False} so it won't be linked and exe will be smaller.but you will have to distribute pics and sound with the executable file...

You're welcome man!:-) i know this well because i did the same 'mistake' with Eurogrgaphy! linked all gfx and music and stared why such an easy prog is 3,5mb!And some people complained:-) so the most important advice is : read the docs carefully!! pecaN
